Frequently asked questions
Is Thyroid Coach medical advice?
No. Thyroid Coach is a general-wellness and self-tracking tool to help you follow the plan your own doctor has given you. It does not diagnose anything, does not interpret your lab numbers, and never recommends or changes a dose. Always follow your doctor's and pharmacist's instructions, and contact them (or emergency services) with any concern. See the Terms of Service.
How do I restore my subscription?
If you reinstalled the App or signed in on a new device, tap Restore Purchases in Settings. Your subscription will reactivate once Apple confirms it.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID, not through us. To cancel or change your plan:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Thyroid Coach, then Cancel Subscription.
Detailed instructions: Apple's subscription help.
Cancelling stops auto-renewal. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
Will I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Where is my data stored?
Locally on your device. Your medication schedule, check-ins, lab entries, notes, and appointment dates all live on your iPhone. We never receive them. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes everything — we do not have a backup. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or your computer, the App's data may be included in that backup, which only you control.
Does the App work offline?
Yes. Your timeline, reminders, check-ins, labs, trends, and doctor report all run on-device. An internet connection is only required the first time you subscribe or when you restore a purchase.
My reminders aren't showing up.
Reminders are local notifications, so they need permission. Check:
- Settings → Thyroid Coach → Notifications — make sure notifications are allowed.
- That Focus / Do Not Disturb isn't silencing them.
- That your reminder times are set correctly in the App.
If notifications are off, the App still works — your timeline and app badge keep you on track on-screen.
How do I share my doctor-visit report?
Open the report in the App, review and edit it in the preview step, then tap share. The report is a PDF created on your device; from the iOS share sheet you can email it, send it via Messages, AirDrop it, or print it. It's only shared if and where you choose to send it.
Can I get my data onto a new phone?
Use the App's export to create an encrypted backup file, then import it on the new device. If your old phone was backed up to iCloud or your computer and you restore that backup to the new phone, your data comes across with it.
Which iOS versions are supported?
iOS 26.0 and newer.
